Istoria, a Member of Design Hotels, is an idyllic 21-suite retreatacross two distinctive locations, the black-sand shores of Perivolos and the dramatic caldera of Santorini, offering two unique ways to experience the island. With Istoria Beach in Perivolos and Istoria Cliff in Firostefani, guests can choose between the grounding energy of the Aegean Sea and the dramatic beauty of Santorini’s caldera, two settings brought together by the same contemporary Cycladic design and authentic Greek spirit.

Istoria Beach features 12 intimate suitesdirectly on the famous black-sand beach of Perivolos. Surrounded by volcanic landscapes and the deep blue of the Aegean, it offers a relaxed seaside escape with earthy interiors, private pools or hot tubs in most suites, and direct access to the beach. Guests can enjoy modern Greek and Mediterranean cuisine at Mr. E Restaurant, as well as restorative treatments inspired by the island at Elios Spa.

Istoria Cliff, in the peaceful village of Firostefani, comprises 9 elegant cave-style suites carvedthe volcanic landscape of the caldera. Overlooking the Aegean Sea and Santorini’s iconic volcanic landscape, the suites offer a sense of tranquillity and connection to the island’s geology and light. Guests staying at Istoria Cliff also have access to the facilities and experiences at Istoria Beach, located 13 km away and connected by shuttle service.
